Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is desperate to bring Carling Cup glory to St Andrew's.
St Andrew's has been a work in progress for McLeish since he quit the Scotland job in November 2007.
Three years of hard work, sweat and toil. And Eck insisted to the Scottish Sun: "I have that same desire at Birmingham, I want to be successful here.
"I don't just want a job for the sake of having a job. I'm in it to win it. That's always been my reason for living. My life's like that."
A place in a Wembley final is now the dream for McLeish.
He knows it's now within touching distance and he stressed: "I won trophies while at Rangers and it was always the aim when I came to Birmingham. Of course, I knew it would be a lot harder to achieve, but you have to set yourself targets and goals.
"It will be extremely difficult to overcome West Ham in the semi-final, we trail by a goal. But Wembley is the vision, the dream - whatever you want to call it.
"It is a fantastic place to play football and I'd love to take Birmingham there."
