Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish says his players were left disappointed to let Liverpool in with a late equaliser for yesterday's 1-1 draw.
The Scot felt his side, who had won only two of their last 11 league matches to leave them concerned by the threat of relegation, put on a good display at Anfield.
"The boys are disappointed they capitulated but the first-half performance was great," he said.
"It was a tough second half but I felt, for the bad luck we have had in recent weeks, we deserved something.
"We were under the cosh with a bombardment of crosses with Gerrard sending in some almost undefendable balls.
"That was a terrific point when we look at the other results."
