McGregor insists he wants Rangers stay

Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has made it quite clear that he wants to remain with the club.

The Scotland international has been linked with an Ibrox departure as a few clubs from around Europe begin to circle.

Reports suggest that Aston Villa, Bursaspor and Sevilla are keen on the 29-year old gloveman but he says he wants to stay in a 'Gers shirt, indicating he is set to sign the lucrative six-year deal offered to him by the Glasgow giants.

"I've still got two years left on my deal so there are players who are a priority before me," he said humbly.

"They need to get sorted out first and then we'll see what happens."

He added on BBC Alba's Club TV: "I love the club and I want to stay but if something happens in the summer then it's without my control.

"I love trying to win things for the club. My challenge is to keep winning games and as many trophies as I can."
