McGinn begins battle to regain Celtic place

After time out with injury Celtic star Niall McGinn is relishing the battle to win his place back in Neil Lennon's team. The Northern Irishman has missed the start of the new campaign after breaking a metatarsal at the back end of last term.

McGinn made his comeback in a reserves outing against Motherwell last week and is now chomping at the bit to play.

"It has been a long summer and now I am relishing the challenge of getting back in the team," said McGinn.

"A lot of new faces have arrived since I was injured and it will be hard to win back a place in the side.

"But I had a good run-out last week and am raring to go.

"I'm just desperate to play as regularly as I can and to wear the Hoops jersey again."
