McGhee: Aberdeen players should welcome two games a week

Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee claims his players should be relishing the prospect of two games a week after recent postponements. There are still plenty of free midweek dates for both matches to be played so McGhee has no fears of a logjam.

The former Dons striker said: "I think there are a couple of dates that we can put games in.

"We're going to play Saturday-Wednesday but I know as a player myself, that was something I enjoyed.

"So I don't think the players should have any great fears of that.

"I think the season I left here or the season before I left, I played 74 games or something like that."

McGhee had no complaints about the postponement of Wednesday night's match.

"I've seen what was out there," he said.

"About six o'clock last night, I was coming back from swimming with my wee fellow and there was a blizzard and it actually was minus five and a half degrees.

"So I think by eight o'clock it would have been pretty dreadful for people."
