James McFadden has promised Birmingham City supporters the Blues will "come back fighting" after the 5-1 defeat at Aston Villa on Sunday left the club in the bottom three.

"It was a bad result, " he said. "We're shell-shocked, but we need to make sure we come back strongly and stay in the league."
