Newcastle Jets have extended their sponsorship deal with McDonald's ahead of the new Hyundai A-League season, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The fast food chain, through its Newcastle & Hunter Region division, has upped its commitment to the club and will now serve as a major partner, with its logo set to appear on the front of the team's shorts this year.
The Jets, who begin their new A-League campaign against the Central Coast Mariners this weekend, originally partnered with McDonald's in 2012.
As part of the new deal Ronald McDonald House Newcastle becomes the Jets' official charity partner and will benefit from player visits, tickets and fundraising initiatives.
"Globally, McDonald's is a major supporter of football and we are thrilled that this belief in our sport is also present in the Hunter Region," said Jets chief executive Robbie Middleby.
"It is testament to the growth of the A-League and the level of support the Jets have in our community, that we have been able to secure such a well respected and well recognised international brand as a major partner."
The Jets other major partners include Nib, BLK, Coca-Cola and Westfield.
