McDonald still bringing fantastic work ethic – Middlesbrough’s Mowbray
Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Thu, 11/03/2011 - 12:57
Despite not scoring again, Scott McDonald was a key figure in Middlesbrough’s 3-1 win over Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night.
Boro moved back to third on the Championship table with the result at Keepmoat Stadium which came courtesy of a brace from Barry Robson and a goal from Marvin Emnes.
Although Australian international McDonald failed to score again (he has just one league goal this season), Boro boss Tony Mowbray was delighted with the way he went about it.
"Scott's getting time on the pitch and playing and I'm sure the goals will come," he told the club’s official website.
"What he brings is a fantastic work ethic for the team and he plays in the shape we ask him to."
