Following a link with English Premier League club Wigan Athletic, McDonald’s agent Lou Sticca said the Australia international plans to see out the three years remaining on his contract at Celtic Park.
"My understanding was there was a tentative approach made to Celtic that was flatly rejected," Sticca told the Wigan Evening Post.
"As far as Scott is concerned, he has three more years on his contract with Celtic and all he wants is to win as much silverware as possible for the club he has supported from childhood.
"Some players never win anything and very few actually play for the club they supported from childhood. In Scott's case he is doing both."
