Scott McDonald was amongst the goals as Celtic remained on top of the Scottish Premier League table with a 3-0 win Aberdeen. The Australian international got the Hoops off to a good start with the first goal of the match in the 39th minute when he converted from an Andreas Hinkel cross before Greece striker Georgios Samaras netted a second-half double to see off the challenge of the Dons who lost Jerel Ifil to a red card in the 55th minute.
The goal was McDonald's ninth league strike of the season but a double to Rangers' Kris Boyd sees him sitting second on the goalscoring table, one behind the Scotland international.
Celtic remain two points clear of their Glasgow rivals who have a game in hand.
