Socceroos striker Scott McDonald put his recent run of outs to an end by scoring the opener as Celtic cruised to a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock. McDonald nodded home in the 11th minute of the Scottish CIS Insurance Cup to set up the impending victory which sent the Hoops into the semi-finals of the competition. Although Celtic went into break 2-0 up, it was a fellow Aussie in Danny Invincibile who sparked a second-half revival for Kilmarnock. Invincibile knocked in from close range in the 67th minute to give the home team a glimmer of hope before last year's Scottish Premier League player of the year, Celtic's Aiden McGeady finished off just four minutes later.
