Reading boss Brian McDermott has rejected the shopping list of owner Anton Zingarevich.

Zingarevich is worth £500million and signalled his intent to spend some of it by announcing he wants to sign 10 players in the transfer window, including Arsenal's Andrey Arshavin.

McDermott said: "No chance I want all those players in January - I don't work like that.

"That would be disrespectful to the players we've got here at this moment. These players are a great bunch of people and are competing in each and every game, there's no doubt about that."
