Reading boss Brian McDermott saw his team lose 3-1 at QPR and was disappointed not to pick up at least a point from the game. McDermott said: "I felt when it was 2-1 we were definitely going to get something from the game. But we didn't put them under enough pressure.
"We were just passing it around, but not in the right areas. When you play against QPR you really have to battle and get balls into the box.
"We didn't do ourselves justice. I know we're better than we showed today, and that's the most frustrating thing.
"The difference between the two sides was Taarabt, who has a lot of talent and was involved in two of their goals. From our point of view, we had to stop those kind of things happening. He had a very good day, and unfortunately we didn't.
"At 2-1 down we were close, but then their third goal killed it. QPR are a very good side and you can see them going through the whole season without losing at home."
