Reading boss Brian McDermott insists he's in charge of transfer policy - not owner Anton Zingarevich.

McDermott admitted there is a Russian connection to his transfer targets but insisted he calls the shots.

He added: "It's not about the owner saying 'I've signed this player - put him in the team'. It won't happen under me."
