Reading boss Brian McDermott has warned supporters not to expect an influx of new signings over the summer. Expectations have been raised at the Madejski following an exceptional second half of the season.
He said: "We've had discussions.
"There won't be massive numbers coming through the doors and we want to keep our squad together as well as we can. We have to be aware as we lose the parachute money this summer.
"So I will do whatever I have to do, but the most important thing is that we do right by the club and it's financially stable, as well as remaining competitive."
