After a 0-0 stalemate in the first leg, the ex-Wigan player is hoping that they can keep their UEFA Cup dream alive by scoring over in Lisbon.
"To reach the Champions League group stage was excellent, although it was disappointing not to qualify after making such a good start to our section. But we've really got going again in the Uefa Cup and it's been an interesting campaign for us.
"We've enjoyed some really good nights in Europe and I'm sure the supporters have enjoyed the number of European nights they've had this season. So it goes without saying we want to keep going as far as we possibly can in the Uefa Cup.
"I think it's been a good achievement to get to the quarter-finals, but you always want to go that one step further and we'd love nothing more than to progress into the semi-finals on the back of a positive result in Lisbon."
