Rangers boss Ally McCoist feels Steven Naismith should not change his overall style of play despite being handed a retrospective two-match ban for violent conduct. Television footage apparently showed Naismith catching Austin McCann in the face with an elbow during Saturday's 4-0 Clydesdale Bank Premier League win at Dunfermline.
He said: "I would not want to take anything away from Steven's game in terms of his natural zest and enthusiasm to play the game because that is one of his biggest strengths.
"You've got to control these emotions and talents and, in that respect, he is no different from any other individual."
