Ally McCoist is delighted he swapped the pundits' sofa for the assistant manager's job at Rangers. McCoist said: "I didn't think it was that big a decision to make.
"People looking at it from the other side seemed to think it was. Yes, football management is a far riskier business than the one I was in. Just look at Jimmy Calderwood and countless other bosses.
"But it was NOT a big decision to take the job. The last two-and-a-half years have been an unbelievable helter skelter ride.
"We've had a little bit of everything along the way. I just hope I can sample it for a few more years to come.
"It's been a bumpy ride, but I made the right decision."
