Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren was particularly happy with two if his players following Tuesday's defeat to Club Atlas.
The Magpies were beaten 2-1 by the Mexican side at Miller Park in Milwaukee as part of their pre-season preparations in the USA.
After the match, McClaren spoke highly of striker Papiss Cisse, who scored with a header, and midfielder Moussa Sissoko, praising the pair for the way they linked up.
"It is a unique thing. You can see that with the smiles on their faces that they like playing with each other," he said.
"They combine very well.
"I thought Papiss was brilliant, he held the ball up and he brought people into the game."
Newcastle next take on USL side Sacramento Republic in Sacramento on Saturday following their 1-0 win over the Toon's Tyne-Wear rivals Sunderland.
