Nottingham Forest boss Steve McClaren still has ambitions to bring Colin Calderwood back to the City Ground as part of his coaching staff. Calderwood was sacked as Reds boss on Boxing Day 2008, seven months after leading the club back into the Championship. He is currently in charge at SPL club Hibernian.
"We are trying to negotiate with Hibs but they do not want to lose him. He is a good manager, a good coach and that is why we want him," McClaren told Sky Sports News. "So we are trying to get Colin out of Hibs and it is very difficult. He wants to come here and it is the only place he wants to come.
"There is a lot of competition for Colin but there is a willingness on our side to do it, and we want to do it. We have to be patient and hope that Hibs will talk, negotiate and get Colin where he wants to go."
