McClaren: Newcastle require collective reaction against Watford

Newcastle United are currently placed at the bottom of the Premier League table and will host Watford next Saturday at St James' Park.

Following the 2-0 defeat against West Ham United on Monday night, manager Steve McClaren said that his team would require a collective reaction in the game against the Hornets if they want to get their season up and running

McClaren said: "We need a big reaction on Saturday, not just from the players and the staff, but the fans as well.

"It's in the heart and in the head, and we need to react on the training pitch as well. It's early, we're learning, and we know we will lose games."

The Magpies remain winless after five matches which has them sitting 20th with just two points to their name.
