Nottingham Forest boss Steve McClaren admits his team have yet to produce their best football this season. The former England head coach has warned the kind of passing game that he wants will take time to achieve.
"We are trying to play and pass the ball and sometimes there are mistakes made within that, but we will grow and get better. It takes a long time to develop a passing game," McClaren told the Nottingham Post.
"It can take longer to develop that than the other way around, if you are a more direct team.
"We want to find a balance and we want to play football. I want to try to win in an attractive way - although winning is the most important thing above all. It will take time to fine tune the way we want to do things."
