Former FC Twente and Hamburg coach Steve McClaren is applying for the Wolves job.

The Daily Express says ex-Manchester United No2 McClaren, 52, is undaunted by the fact that relegated Wolves are in League One.

The brief for their new head coach is to play attractive football and use the players who are coming through the club's academy.
