Mick McCarthy has revealed that Wolves are not always on the lookout for new players despite their precarious situation.
The Wolverhampton club, currently sitting second bottom on the league table, may require some fresh faces this summer and although McCarthy admits there could be room for improvement he says they are not necessarily in pursuit of anyone in particular.
McCarthy and assistant manager Terry Connor were seen at the Coventry City versus Bristol City match last weekend but the Wolves boss says they were simply there to watch a game of football.
"That goes on all the time, looking at players," he told the club's official website.
"We just went to watch the game last weekend. We'd trained on Saturday morning and just went to watch the Coventry game, a Championship game, nothing more than that.
"It's made a difference we've been able to bring players in quickly in the last few summers but I'm not so sure whether that would happen this year.
"I don't think we would be in such a dire need to go rushing out for players - I don't know.
"It's an ongoing process that, signing players and looking at players.
"But we've got to make sure we stay in the Premier League first, that's the main thing.
"Stay in the league, that's what we've got to do."
