Wolves boss Mick McCarthy wants the Premiership's divers to be named and shamed.
McCarthy told the Daily Mail: "In my day we used to kick them properly and they didn't have to dive! When they went down then they had been kicked. Why should the divers not be punished? It is conning. It is cheating.
"If one of my players at Wolves was to dive, then get caught and get done, I have to tell you I wouldn't bitch about it. If they got caught doing it they should be punished.
"If a defender is seen to slap someone off the ball and the ref misses it but it is seen after on TV, then he would get done for three matches. Why shouldn't it be the same?
"None of us likes diving. We all scream blue murder. It all depends how we deal with it.
"I was asked about it at a League Managers' Association meeting and I replied that none of us likes it. However, if it happens, what do you do? I have not got players who do it.
"I've never had cause to say to someone, "By the way, you are out of order". I ask my players to try to play in the right way, and if you see my team play you will recognise that."
