Wolves boss Mick McCarthy insists his side produced a positive performance despite losing 2-0 at home to Tottenham today.
Spurs took 67 minutes to get on the scoreboard and it was prior to that Emmanuel Adebayor goal that McCarthy thought his Wolves team did well.
McCarthy was also proud of the fact that Wolves played the way they did even though they are not as 'advanced' as Spurs.
"I thought for 60 minutes we matched them in every department. What we haven't matched them of course is scoring the goals at the end of it," he said.
"They are a top six side. That's a team that has just turned down £40million for one of their players (Luka Modric).
"Adebayor has come in via Manchester City, and Defoe is an England player, Gareth Bale is worth so many millions.
"They are far, far advanced than we are as a Premier League team and yet for most part I was happy with our performance."
