Promising youngster James McCarthy has dismissed speculation that he is about leave Wigan.
The 19-year old former Hamilton midfielder has impressed in recent times with the Latics' first team and there have been calls that he may up and leave DW Stadium to join a bigger club but he is remaining cautious of any of that type of talk.
"It's great to be tipped to go places, but I'm not getting carried away. I'm happy at Wigan and I have a four-year contract," he said.
McCarthy has made an enormous transition this year, going from Scottish Premier League young gun to Republic of Ireland international and regular Premier League starter and admits it has been nothing short of a dream come true.
"It's been a brilliant season for me," he added.
"To be making my debut in the Premier League against United and then my debut for Ireland against Brazil - a dream come true."
