Wolves boss Mick McCarthy says he's pleased with their form this season.

Despite Wolves' current plight, McCarthy has been happy with the general performances produced by his players in most games.

He said: "It's incredible really, but we've done all right in most of those matches.

"We've had a couple of bad and iffy performances, and we'll never know if last week was one of them against Chelsea.

"I laughed my sides out at suggestions that it was a good time to play Chelsea. They put Fernando Torres on after 77 minutes and we put Anthony Forde on and I thought 'That's a fair deal'.

"But that doesn't worry me, I'm happy with my lot. My lads are great, they really are fantastic."
