Benni McCarthy says he's the best striker at Blackburn Rovers.

The South Africa international is preparing to leave Ewood Park in January.

"In my opinion, I am better than what we have at Rovers," said McCarthy. "But unfortunately, the manager (Allardyce) prefers a different style of player.

"I am not the type of player he wants and that is why I am not playing."
