Mick McCarthy was over the moon for his Wolves players after they held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium.
The Molinuex outfit fell behind early when Gervinho scored for the Gunners before Steven Fletcher leveled and then Nenad Milijas was sent off.
In the final 20 minutes, and throughout most of the match, Arsenal controlled proceedings and should have scored a few goals but the Wolves defence, led by outstanding goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, continually kept them at bay which delighted McCarthy.
"Wayne is a good goalkeeper, one of the best in the league, and he gets a bit to do playing behind us.
"We know we can rely on him and trust him. It is fantastic - and it was a great performance today.""I am delighted and proud. It was a difficult place to come and play," he said.
But McCarthy was not too happy with the decision of referee Stuart Attwell to send Milijas from the pitch in the 75th minute for a challenge on Mikel Arteta.
"Somebody said to me 'he's got his studs up'. Well, you generally do if you tackle with your foot sliding in.""He did what he saw. If he sees it again then it can't be [a red card]. He's got his foot on the ground and makes contact with the ball," he added.
