McCall salutes Motherwell players after Scottish Cup triumph

Motherwell boss Stuart McCall has heaped praise on his players following their performance in last night's Scottish Cup quarter-final.

The Steelmen produced a 3-0 victory over Dundee United to move into the final four and the showing prompted the boss to sprinkle adulation all over his players who he thinks can take it up to anybody on their day.

"I'm like a broken record, but I've said it after being in the job for a couple of weeks, when we are at it we are a match for anyone," he said.

"Thankfully tonight we were at it.

"We have matched Celtic and we matched Rangers in the (Co-operative Insurance Cup) semi.

"I have probably got more belief in the lads than they have themselves.

"It was an all-round team performance, the three goals were outstanding. They deserve all the plaudits."

Motherwell will now come down from their Cup high-horse and prepare for the visit of Aberdeen in the league on Saturday.
