McCall rips in Motherwell after league cup loss to Rangers

Motherwell manager Stuart McCall has criticised his side for their poor performance against Rangers last night.

The Scottish Premier League leaders were beaten 2-0 by Third Division 'Gers in the third round of the Scottish Communities League Cup at Ibrox and McCall has indicated there could be changes for the league meeting with Celtic this weekend as a consequence.

"There is huge disappointment with the way we played and with the performance," he said.

"We were very disappointing and there is not one player, apart perhaps from the keeper (Darren Randolph), who can be proud of his performance tonight.

"After Sunday I said tonight's team was nailed on.

"We have Celtic on Saturday and I am just not sure what my team will be because no one has earned the right to start at the weekend.

"All that stuff about us being favourites didn't come into it at all.

"They started better than us and although we came into it the two goals we lost were extremely poor from our point of view."
