Motherwell manager Stuart McCall is expecting James McFadden to soon sign a contract with the club.
The former Everton and Sunderland forward has been training with the Steelmen following his short-term deal at Fir Park last season and McCall hopes he puts pen to a new deal ahead of Tuesday's preseason friendly with Newcastle United.
"He has not missed a session since he joined us and has worked hard," McCall told MFC TV.
"He'll be in on Monday morning hopefully to get things tied up and look to play a part in the game on Tuesday against Newcastle."
