Wigan Athletic midfielder James McArthur is determined to help the club move out of the drop zone and achieve survival this season.
The Latics sit second bottom on the table but with some improved performances recently, namely the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in which McArthur scored, things are on the up at the DW Stadium.
"We want to move up that table and prove everyone wrong.
"It was exactly the same last year, everyone wrote us off and said we were down, and that wasn't the case.
"Hopefully this year will be the same.""We just need to keep performing the way we have been doing, keep creating the chances and hopefully next time a few more will go in," he told the Wigan Evening Post.
