McAnuff senses new attitude under Reading boss Adkins

Reading skipper Jobi McAnuff senses a new attitude around the squad.

McAnuff says the belief that new manager Nigel Adkins has brought with him is like an invigorating transfusion to the players.

The midfielder believes they have the perfect spy in the camp to help them beat Southampton.

"He's got to be a help for us in this game," he said. "We have already gone over a few points of their play and areas that we feel we can use to benefit us. There is not going to be any better man than our gaffer to get us prepared for the game.

"Once we are out there it is up to us to make sure we put into action all the things we have been told and use it in the game."
