Dieumerci Mbokani admits Youssouf Mulumbu played a big role in his move to Norwich City.

Mulumbu, a summer signing from West Brom, plays alongside Mbokani for the Democratic Republic of Congo.

“He (Mulumbu) was calling me all the time and telling me this would be a great team for me. He said if I came here I would score goals, so I decided to come," Mbokani, on-loan from Dynamo Kiev, told the Pink 'Un. “I've spoken to Alex (Neil), he is counting on me and he obviously played a large part in bringing me here. Now it is up to me to perform.

“I can say now that I feel good physically, but I am missing a bit of match fitness. I'm going to work hard in training and it will be up to the coach to decide how I am looking in training."
