Ezequiel Lavezzi was the matchwinner for Napoli against Elfsborg in their Europa League qualifier first-leg clash.

Lavezzi struck on the stroke of half-time to defeat IF Elfsborg 1-0.

Afterwards, Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri said: "We had 31 shots and 14 of those were on target. It is a shame that we only scored one goal.

"The conditions were there to score at least two or three.

"The numbers speak for themselves, but in terms of performance, there was no comparison. Elfsborg are clearly ahead of us in terms of preparation, as they have already played many matches in their league.

"The return leg will be a difficult one, and I hope that our players can be more clinical in front of goal. This week will help us to improve our physical conditioning."
