Watford manager Walter Mazzarri has explained the reasons why Kenedy is back at parent club Chelsea.

The talented Brazilian joined the Hornets on a season-long loan in the summer but has returned to Cobham after just 15 minutes of Premier League action for the Hertfordshire club.

"Kenedy went back to Chelsea," Mazzarri confirmed on Monday.

"He was a player we never had time to evaluate because he was injured the whole time."

The 20-year-old winger will now strive to return to full fitness with the Blues before the West Londoners work out what to do with him for the remainder of the season.
