Former Fiorentina star Mazinho admits Serie A is off the map for Brazilian players.
Mazinho is the father of Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara and Barcelona winger Rafinha.
He told TMW: "The truth is that in general the quality has dropped a lot. Milan and Inter for example should play football in a more cheerful way and instead I see that they have a lot of problems.
"I hope that gradually Fiorentina can get back to the top: I like Borja Valero, but of course there's also Cuadrado.
"The best Brazilians now all go to Russia. This year I really enjoyed Ganso, because he changed his way of playing. He is now more determined, he's reached a European level that he did not have before."
