Alan Maybury has begun training with former club Hearts as he bids to find a new team following his release from Leicester City in the summer. The right-back spent six months of last season on loan with Aberdeen, but turned down the chance to make the move permanent.

Following an unsuccessful trial with Crystal Palace, he is now in training with Hearts and hopes to win a contract.

"They invited me in and we'll see if anything happens further down the line," revealed Maybury.

"I loved my time at Hearts and to go back would be great. My agent is speaking to a few other clubs as well."
