Maxwell is urging PSG teammate Lucas Digne to rethink his decision to leave.

Digne has handed in a transfer request and could sign for Liverpool this week.

"With Lucas Digne, we do not compete, we are both PSG players. I wish him the best here or elsewhere," said Maxwell.

"I hope Lucas will stay with us but it is a personal choice, each has his objectives. Our relationship is good and I hope that his situation will be clarified as soon as possible.

"We are happy he is with our squad, he is quality."
