West Bromwich Albion fullback Joe Mattock is unlikely to feature in tonight's Carling Cup tie against Manchester City.
The Baggies left-back has not featured so far this season after suffering an injury during the early weeks of the season.
And although the ex-Leicester man is back in training, he is some way from being fully match fit.
Albion first-team coach Michael Appleton said: "The problem with Joe at the minute is that he's not had a full day's training with the lads.
"I think it will be too soon for him.
"But otherwise, I think you can obviously expect changes."
