Germany coach Joachim Low is set to leave Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil out of his first-choice XI.

There is concern inside the German camp over Ozil's form with the Gunners last season.

Lothar Matthaus remarked to Kicker: "I'm not really sure about his place in the team.

"He needs to prove himself first. He may well come out of the fight a loser looking at the way the team of Löw has played in recent times.

"Ozil is not untouchable."
