Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo could take a chance on Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres as the Blues strikeforce in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich. The Italians used the pairing for the last 21 minutes of their win over relegated Blackburn Rovers at the weekend and could do the same on Saturday.
They have started together on five occasions, but having never scored a goal in any of these or the 19 other times they have been paired in a match as substitutes indicates they are not well suited together.
But with suspensions and mounting injury worries Di Matteo has had one last look at the duo in partnership.
"It's always difficult because obviously it's going to be a different opposition.
"But I've been trying to figure out a few things." "I tried a few things to just have a look and see how it could work out," he told Chelsea TV.
