Blackburn Rovers chairman John Williams has revealed Matt Jansen has returned to the club.

The striker, 31, has not played since a stint at Bolton in April 2006.

Jansen spent four days in a coma in 2002 after a moped crash and his career has declined ever since.

Williams said: "Matt wants to see if he is capable of making another go of it and we are delighted to help."
