Mats Daehli says Cardiff now free to focus on survival

Mats Daehli says Cardiff City's FA Cup exit leaves them clear to focus on Premier League survival.

The performance of 18-year-old Daehli, who was making his first start since his £2.5m move from Molde last month, was one of the bright spots in the defeat to Wigan Athletic.

Daehli told WalesOnline: "We had enough chances to win the game, but just didn't take them and we have to work on that.

"You want to win every game you play and now we will focus on the league and doing well there. We just need the belief and to take our chances and we will be fine.

"We are very determined to beat Hull and all the players know the job that needs to be done.

"The Hull game is massive now. We have five training sessions to work on stuff this weekend and kick on."
