Nemanja Matic injured himself during Chelsea's celebrations after their Capital One Cup win on the weekend.
The Serbian midfielder, 26, was suspended for the League Cup decider against Tottenham at Wembley on Sunday which the Blues won 2-0.
After the final whistle, Matic donned a full Chelsea kit to celebrate with his teammates but according to manager Jose Mourinho, picked up a slight injury in the process.
"Matic is injured and he got an injury celebrating the cup," said Mourinho after Chelsea beat West Ham United 1-0 on Wednesday night.
"It's not a big injury, but if today he was not suspended, he wouldn't play.
"He twisted his ankle. On the pitch. He put on shinpads but he didn't put the tape on. He will play against Paris. On Saturday, Sunday, he will train."
