Matias Silvestre is delighted with his move to AC Milan.

The former Inter Milan defender made the switch last week.

"I'm very happy and I have to say that Milan have welcomed me well," the centre-back told Milan Channel.

"It has always been my desire to wear the Milan shirt and I want to repay the faith that the club have shown me on the field of play.

"This is a great opportunity for me and I have been giving my very best since arriving here. It is my objective to help the team be protagonists in 2013-14."
