Gonzalo Higuain was delighted to prove Napoli's matchwinner in victory over Lazio.

Higuain struck a first-half winner.

"Fortunately we won a difficult game. Lazio are a strong side and we needed to win in order to get back into third," Pipita told Sky Sport Italia.

He held up teammate Lorenzo Insigne's jersey after the goal to celebrate.

"Lorenzo asked me before the game to wave his shirt if I got a goal and he proved to be right."

Higuain was asked about reports he will only remain at Napoli if the club qualifies for the Champions League.

"No, I am happy here and I have a contract."
