Ashley Young insists he wants to start more regularly for Manchester United.
The 28-year old winger scored a wonderful goal before supplying Patrice Evra with the second in United's 2-0 Capital One Cup quarter-final win over Stoke City on Wednesday night in a hail-affected match.
Young, who admitted the conditions were not ideal, was proud of the fight the United side showed as he strives to become a more consistent contributor after starting just six times in all competitions this season.
"The conditions were crazy. I think the boys wanted to stay on instead of coming in and getting dry, but I've got to say that we did magnificent. It was a great team performance. We showed great spirit and character out there," he told Sky Sports.
"Of course I want to play more. I have been on the bench and coming off, so I want to be in the team. Every player wants to play in the starting line-up and I'm no different to that."
